Osman ÖZCAN

Lean Consultant

 

After graduating from Eskişehir Osmangazi University Department of Industrial Engineering in 2005, he started his career as a production engineer at EPTA company in Eskişehir. After working in the company for five years, he finally completed his job in production and planning management position. During his tenure, he attended Lean training and workshops held at Tülomsaş. He received trainings on VSM, Kaizen, SMED, 5S, Kanban, Milkrun, Line Balancing and Visual Management and made gains both here and in his company. He also carried out Statistical Process Control and On-Site Quality applications and projects.

In 2012, he continued his career as an assembly manager at Hisarlar. He gained experience in assembly line management and systematic material management. He led the lines in lean transformation and spreading kaizen culture. He has a lean six sigma green belt and has eliminated value-added operations and led project development in increasing productivity and stock reduction.

He led the establishment of polyurethane auxiliary facilities, which was decided to be installed in Hisarlar in 2014. The factory managed the transfer process of the settlements and machines, and the first production to the mass production of the facility.

In 2015, he started to work as a Lean Transformation Leader at Candy Hoover white goods main industry company. He organized workshops and workshops for lean transformation of built-in and cooker production lines and increasing efficiency. By leading eight workshops, gains and improvements were achieved in production processes with kaizen and kanban vehicles. He carried out lean transformation and operation improvement studies in the warehouse.

In 2017, he continued as an engineering manager at the same company. He led the determination of operation plans and durations, and various assembly apparatus and fixture making processes, and also managed processes such as factory layout, annual labor budgets, capacity scenarios. He also led the digitization processes in the company. It provided product traceability at points such as automatic separation and quality control in the lines.

He continued his career as a “Lean Transformation Consultant” in 2018. After working freelance for a while, he founded the company "Değer Endustriyel Danışmanlık".

Throughout the period, he achieved lean transformation and practices in seven companies and provided gains.

In addition, he provides trainings, workshops and kaizen coaches on Kaizen and Hoshin Kanri (Spread of Goals). It continues to improve itself with training experience of approximately 8000 man_hours.

Sakarya University continues his Business Administration graduate education.
